BATAAN
It is a province situated in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. It is known for its historical attractions, it is a must destination with beaches, turtle sanctuaries, bird-watching sites, springs and waterfalls, mountains with its two major peaks, Mount Natib and Mount Mariveles, when summit is reached you can see the peninsula that faces the South China Sea to the west and Subic Bay to the north-west, and encloses Manila Bay to the east. The Battle of Bataan is famous for being one of the last stands of American and Filipino soldiers before they were overwhelmed by the Japanese forces during World War II. The Bataan Death March was also named after the province, where the infamous march started. Recently, it’s become more popular because of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, the first and only heritage resort by the sea also it is the Philippines’ only nuclear power plant, the non-functioning Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.
